AI Thermography Presentation at Hospital Italiano
The Instituto de Medicina Cardiovascular at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, invited by Dr. Ignacio Bluro, will host a special Clinical Grand Rounds session this Friday, July 18th at 1:00 PM. We are honored that our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Nicolás Atamañuk, MD, MS, will present our latest work on AI thermography for cardiovascular diagnostics.
In this presentation, he will highlight our recent research published in JACC Journals on using AI-enabled thermography to diagnose acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF). This novel and non-invasive method merges clinical intuition with machine learning. Our goal is to show how AI thermography can become a powerful, scalable tool in emergency and critical care.
Our approach starts with a classic clinical observation: distinguishing between “warm” and “cold” patients. By combining thermal imaging with advanced algorithms, we created a system that objectively assesses peripheral perfusion. This is a key indicator of cardiac function in heart failure. Therefore, this method can streamline triage decisions, reduce diagnostic uncertainty, and improve patient outcomes.
We believe that combining clinical experience with computational tools drives cardiology forward. Collaborations with institutions like Hospital Italiano foster productive exchanges between researchers and clinicians.
We thank the community of visionary healthcare professionals who engage with and challenge our work as we bring this technology from bench to bedside.
